My full name Jeroen Diederik Stout, I'm a graphical and interactive artist, with
endavours in other arts such as performing and writing for theatre, poetry, short
story writing, music composition, computer programming and philosophy.
Learning to understand games I currently am a student at the Utrecht School of the
Arts in the Netherlands, where I read Game-Design and Development. My interest with
games is dual; I desire to make simple games of a unique, aesthetic property - and at the same
time I am growing fascinated with the application of interactivity to create stronger,
more evocative works, where the player is more actively involved in the narrative:
may it one day be not Winston who bows before Big Brother, but the player himself?
In my modern work I search for the aesthetic, the exorbitant, craftmanship and the philosophical,
which I see as the highest virtues in art.
